We're going to see BON JOVI tonight!!! We (or should I say I??) have waited excitedly for this day to come! I loved Bon Jovi when I was younger...one of the best Christmases I had was when my brother gave me "Slippery When Wet" and we listened to it over and over that Christmas Day. Scott is not quite as excited as me. Lucky for me, maybe not for him, he didn't have to travel this week. :-)
This has been a CRAZY week! We are putting our house up for sale!! This was definitely a "last second" decision. We don't have much room in our house since we had the boys...two of everything starts adding up quick and two toddlers seem to require a lot of space for playing. :-) So, we sometimes will drive through neighborhoods and look at houses or go to Open Houses. Well, we were out looking on Saturday and found a house that is perfect for our growing family and in our price range. We went back Sunday to look again and decided that night to go for it. So, I met with the realtor on Monday and we derived a plan to get the house in order for selling. (The birth of the boys really rocked our world so needless to say, not many home improvements have been done since that time!!) The painter is coming THIS Thursday morning to start painting and we will be taking some small trees out of the front yard to open it up a bit and moving some things to storage. Can we say stressed?? A night out with Bon Jovi will be much-needed. :-)
We are not "set" on this house and are praying for God to show us His will. If it's His plan, I know it will be done. If not, that's okay too. He is in control. Hey, we'll finally get these home improvements that we've needed to do out of the way!! :-)
I'll definitely keep you updated on the progress, and my hair...hopefully I'll have some left once this is over! :-)

On our way to get our license!
Mia and Papa came over Sunday evening to visit and the boys had a great time playing in Papa's car, a Mazda Miata. They were definitely driving in style! :) Once we managed to get them out of the car, we went to play in the backyard and of course, they would manage to make their way back to the drive way to play with the "tractor". It was really cute.

New adventures
Ethan
Ethan was so sweet last week while brother wasn't feeling well. He played so sweetly and would lovingly bring Mitchell toys to play with or would rub his back and lay his head on his shoulder. He is such a loving child!! He did figure out a few things while I was tending to Mitchell...he learned how to reach the TV and turn it on and ask for "choo-choo" (Thomas) AND he figured out the baby-proofing to the computer! Luckily, he has listened to me for the most part and not gotten up to the computer but I don't know how long that will last! Redirect, redirect, redirect! The TV is another story...lots of "Choo-choo has gone bye-bye" by Mommy. :) Unfortunately, he may be getting what Mitchell had last week. He had a fever of 102 at bedtime last night. My poor baby!

Mitchell
Our Mitchell is finally feeling better. He was a sick little fellow last week...his fever was over 104 a few times before he was all better. His last fever was on Friday and then magically it was gone. No more fever and our sweet little boy was back to himself. Needless to say, we've been living it up since! :) We have done lots of playing outside and have enjoyed the Spring weather to its fullest!

My nephews
I found these pics in some of the photos that my Poppy sent me (Thank you, Poppy!). I wanted to share them with you...especially those that haven't seen Daniel and Brock since they were babies and toddlers...my, have they grown!! Daniel will be 17 this June and Brock will be 14 this September. My boys LOVE playing with Daniel and Brock and will whine when they walk away, even for just a second. They didn't like leaving them last time to come home. We love you, Daniel and Brock!

Chicken Noodle Soup For Mommy's Soul
My guys have been really sick over the past few days with a virus (Ethan had it last week and now Mitchell has it this week) so we've been eating lots of chicken noodle soup and jello. They insist on completely feeding themselves lately, so here are the results. Quite messy but they've got to learn sometime! :-) Mitchell is always the messier of the two so he's the one with jello all over his face!!
These past few days have been exhausting because Scott has been out of town and I don't have my knight in shining armor to rescue me! But, it's precious faces like these that keep me going! Thank goodness, my honey will be back in town tonight and has said that he is leaving early from work tomorrow! Yippee!!!

The Masters
My brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Blaine, took Scott and I to a practice round of the Masters for Scott's birthday. It was so much fun!!! The weather was cloudy and cool for most of the morning but the sun came out about an hour before we left. We followed Phil Mickelsen for a few holes and went to the driving range and a putting green and watched a few other players. We were able to see Zach Johnson (last year's winner) and a few others whose names I can't remember. :) Unfortunately, we weren't able to see Tiger because he came out early in the morning and played the back 9 and then went in for the day. The course is so beautiful and walking on it was like walking in history.
Blaine is pregnant with their first child and you can see her little pooch in the pictures. Isn't she so cute? Thank you Steve and Blaine for a perfect day!!

Riverbanks Zoo
The boys and I stayed through Thursday at my parents after Easter and we went to Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia with my parents. It was so much fun. The weather was great and my nephews Daniel and Brock were able to come. The boys love them and enjoyed spending time with them. We got the boys those little "harnesses" so they spent half of their time in the stroller and half with their harnesses on. Needless to say, we were ALL worn out after that day!

Easter
We spent Easter in Aiken and it was so much fun. We were able to attend the annual Easter egg hunt at my grandparents' house and spend time with family that we don't get to see much. The boys didn't completely understand the hunt...they called the eggs "balls" and threw them but they had a great time. It was a great weekend.
Our first trip to the zoo
Some updated pictures of my boys!
The boys have grown so much since the last post on our blog! Ha, ha! They were 8 months old in the last pictures and looking at those makes me realize just how much they've grown. They are of course walking and even running now and talking up a storm. Most of it comes out as babble to us but they do know how to say quite a few words..."light" was their first word, "tractor" their second, and they can say various nouns like car, outside, Barney, choo-choo, poo-poo (ha, ha!), and they can say "hi" and "bye", and their new favorite word "no". They do seem to understand what we're saying alot of the time, whether they choose to listen or not. :) I'm so in love with them and thank God every single day that He blessed us with them!
